The laugh’s on Mike Farah, a Funny or Die veteran who was named CEO today. He replaces Dick Glover, who left in September to run Mandalay Sports Media. COO Mitch Galbraith returns to his job after serving as interim CEO.
Farah joined the digital video humor network in 2008 as a producer. He rose to President of Production, handling day-to-day operations as well as the company’s TV and longform programming. He won two Primetime Emmys as executive producer of Between Two Ferns with Zach Galifianakis. He’s also executive producer of Billy on the Street, @midnight and IFC’s upcoming Brockmire.
Adam McKay — who co-founded the enterprise with Will Ferrell and Chris Henchy — calls Farah “a force of nature, who lives and breathes Funny or Die. Will and I are thrilled that he is finally becoming CEO of this great company he helped build.”
